With airlines offering bargains nowadays just to fill up increasingly vacant planes...you can hunt for real cheap tickets to your dream vacations.
I happened to stumble upon reallllly cheap tickets for our next vacation. This is incredible.
Jetstar offered $58 dollar one way tickets to Perth Australia a few days ago and when I clicked on the buy screen I really cant believe my eyes...tickets for less than S$200 roundtrip Singapore to Perth Australia (a 5 and a half hour flight).
SO I clicked again and now for the kids school holidays in September we will be off to Perth Australia for a 5 day holiday. The tickets are real cheap but we still have to pay our Australian visa of about S$110 dollars each. Its still worth it since most Sing-Pert fares range from $450-600 on lean seasons.

Surfing the net for cheap bargains at thees times can give you real real bargains.
I got our tickets at unbelievable prices.
Here are my tips on getting cheap tickets:
1) Plan your vacations in advance. Normally cheap tickets are offered six months and even a full year in advance. Take advantage of these offers.
2) If an airline ticket sale is advertised on a certain date go online at 12 midnight since very low tickets are usually snapped up right away and oftentimes the website becomes unavailable after a few minutes after the sale starts due to heavy traffic.
3) DOnot hesitate on clicking that buy button if the fares shows you a zero price. It guarantees that you are actually just paying airline and airport taxes.Your hesitation might cause that amount to be non existent after a few minutes.
4) Be flexible.Normally cheap tickets are available for non peak months or on weekday flights. Expensive tickets are usually for Friday to Sunday flights or during school and public holidays. You must be willing to travel during off peak season months.
5) Compare airline tickets.Sometimes two airlines will give you zero fares but taxes would be different for each airline. You must also know the going rates for the destinations that you want to travel to.
6) Travel light.Nowadays budget carriers charge extra for luggage and even for selecting a seat. Try bringing only handcarried luggage and the fare will be cheaper. Its also better to just select your seats when you check in since even if you pay extra for selecting your seat online it wont guarantee the best seat on the plane.
7) Consider also flying with a companion. Some airlines offer fly with a friend sale which means you pay two tickets for the price of one.
8) Try getting tickets with stop overs. Like a Buffalo-LA ticket direct flight would be more expensive than a Buffalo-Chicago-LA flight, This I found out when we were booking my sisters flight to LA from Canada. A flight with a stop over is normally much cheaper than a direct flight ticket.Of course this is only advisable if you are not in a hurry and dont mind the inconvenience of a stop over.
Buying a cheap airline ticket requires patience, timing and a certain kind of art.
Consider these tips when you book your next vacation. Happy trip!!!
